Spectricept Skin and Wound Cleanser For Animals | Advanced Antimicrobial Protection
Under the supervision of a healthcare professional, Spectricept Skin and Wound Cleanser is intended for cleaning, irrigating, moistening, debridement and removal of foreign material including debris from wounds , dermal lesions including Stage I – IV pressure ulcers, stasis ulcers, post surgical wounds, superficial second degree burns, abrasions, minor irritations of the skin, diabetic foot ulcers, ingrown toe nails, grafted donor sites and exit sites.
Spectricept Skin and Wound Cleanser is a highly effective solution, stable in blood, pus, urine, mucus, saliva, and tears. It has demonstrated potent antimicrobial activity with 10⁵ log kill rates in human serum against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, fungi, yeast, and viruses (data on file – Spectrum Antimicrobials).
The cleanser’s pH is carefully normalized to the physiological pH of healthy skin (4.5–5.5), creating a slightly acidic environment that helps protect the skin from harmful microorganisms while promoting natural skin health.
Active ingredients and their benefits
- Pure HOCL – 0.360%: Primary antimicrobial agent providing broad-spectrum activity.
- Copper Chloride – 0.008%: Disrupts microbial cell membranes and generates reactive oxygen species (ROS) to induce bacterial cell death.

Storage and shelf life
- Spectricept RX and OTC are sterilized using a proprietary manufacturing process to ensure safety and efficacy.
